WWE Talent Announces Upcoming Departure From The Company

As of late, multiple WWE contracts have been expiring. Yet while some talents would be offered new deals like Damian Priest, Seth Rollins, and Drew McIntyre, others like Scrypts and Drew Gulak wouldn’t be. And now, with it having been known for some time that his deal was running out, Donovan Dijak has announced on X that he will depart the company when his contract expires on Friday. Additionally, he would note that despite having previously been told by a top executive that he was “crushing it,” WWE never made him an offer to stay.

37-year-old Dijak broke into the business in 2013 and was signed by ROH the following year. From there, he established himself as a talented performer, which led to WWE signing him in 2017 and initially using him in NXT. His main roster opportunity would eventually come from being part of the Retribution stable, which saw him renamed T-Bar.

However, with that gimmick failing to get over, he would return to NXT in 2022, where he rebuilt his career as just Dijak. Still, despite him having been called back up to the main roster earlier this year, he would only appear on Main Event and as part of X’s WWE Speed tournament.
