Art the Clown, the sinister clown/mime from the Terrifier franchise, which features our very own Chris Jericho in parts 2 and 3, has become a huge horror icon in recent years. In fact, some fans think that over time, he will rival legendary villains like Freddy Krueger and Michael Myers. And now, to demonstrate how the character has influenced her horror fandom, WWE’s Rhea Riley has taken to Instagram to show off her new Art-inspired tattoo, which also pays tribute to her lovable pooch.
For those unaware, Ripley’s tattoo specifically references the sunflower glasses scene in Terrifier 2, which the director Damien Leone previously revealed was actually an homage to the magic shop scene in Pee Wee’s Big Adventure. This was because it was one of Leone’s favorite movies growing up, and therefore, wanted to acknowledge it in his own creative vision.
