Over the years, there has been speculation that Tough Enough co-winner Maven could be gay. And while this is obviously his own personal business and irrelevant to his wrestling career, the 48-year-old decided to address this during his latest YouTube video. In this, he would make sure there was no ambiguity by stating, “I am not,” and revealing that he has been in a relationship with the same woman for 13 years.
Maven’s overall wrestling legacy is a case of what could have been, as while being on Tough Enough got him into the WWE, it did work against him in the eyes of fans. Then, post-WWE, his life went downhill due to prescription drug issues, although WWE-sponsored rehab assisted him in turning things around and opened the door for him to become an unlikely YouTube star.
