In more sad wrestling news, it has been confirmed by Dutch Mantell that Jerry Jarrett, known best for founding the Continental Wrestling Association, United States Wrestling Association, and later NWA-TNA, has sadly passed away. His course of death is unknown; however, it is being reported by other sources he was surrounded by his family at the time of his death.
80-year-old Jarrett got into the wrestling business aged 7, selling programs and was promoting shows aged just 14. Once old enough, he would also referee and wrestle, and in 2009 was inducted into the NWA’s Hall of Fame. He is survived by his wife, Deborah, and four children, Jerry Jr., Jeff, Jason, and daughter, Jennifer.
