While Hell In A Cell is its own pay-per-view, it has been used as a standalone concept when a feud requires things to move up a level. And now, according to H. Jenkins of Ringside News, WWE appears to feel that Finn Bálor vs. Edge is the type of feud ready for the stipulation, with the journalist reporting it is set to take place at WrestleMania 39 having been delayed from the Royal Rumble.
If accurate, this will be Edge’s third Hell In A Cell match, with the WWE Hall of Famer having competed in his first against The Undertaker at SummerSlam in 2008, and then again 13 years later when he wrestled Seth Rollins inside the structure at Crown Jewelin 2021. In comparison, this will be Bálor’s first, and in fact only his third WrestleMania appearance despite having had such a successful WWE career dating back to 2014.
