GoFundMe Launched For Vince Steele’s Funeral Costs

Tragically, independent professional wrestler Vince Steele passed away on March 16 following a suspected heart attack aged just 39. According to those at the New Jersey-based Brii Combination Wrestling event, the 6’5” Stelle, known as “The Jurassic Juggernaut,” collapsed mid-match, and while he did receive medical attention, it’s understood the ambulance called took 45 minutes to arrive, which was far too late. Therefore, Steele’s brother has launched a GoFundMe to cover his funeral costs, with $8,370 raised from 124 kind donors.

“Family and friends it’s with great sadness to announce the passing of my brother Vincent Vince Steele Rosa. The Best Big Man In The Business! He departed unexpectedly and so suddenly doing exactly what he loved to do and that was wrestle. His last dance was yesterday March 16th, 2025 at the MADNESS AT THE MECCA in RIDGE-FIELD PARK, New Jersey. The family humbly ask for any contribution to assist with arrangements and to ensure his children can send their father off peacefully.”gofundme.com/f/support-vincent-steele-rosas-final-farewell

Steele entered the business in 2007, and while most of his matches were in New Jersey, he occasionally traveled, making West Virginia’s Big Time Wrestling his home away from home. During his career, he shared the ring with several notable names, including Savio Vega, Jay Lethal, Sabu, and Crowbar. Additionally, he proved his hardcore credentials in 2019 when he defeated Mad Man Pondo and The Sandman in a hardcore elimination match, which can be viewed below.
