Throughout the history of TNA backstage upheaval has been frequent. And now in news that is unexpected but probably shouldn’t be considering how seemingly nobody’s job in TNA is ever safe, it has been reported by Fightful Select several people in managerial roles have been let go.
Of those departing, the most high profile name is former WWE wrestler Gail Kim, who was working as a producer and in talent relations. And it has subsequently been reported by PWInsider.com that now Tommy Dreamer will head up that area, while Hunter Johnston will therefore lead creative alone.
While best known to the masses for her runs in WWE, Kim has been a crucial part of TNA and later Impact Wrestling’s success over the years. This would see her become the first female inductee into their Hall of Fame, and while she retired from the ring in 2019 following a match at Rebellion in 2019, she did make a one-off return for TNA 1000.
