Almost two years ago, it was reported that former NXT and TNA talent Kimbler Lee, real name Kimberly Frankel, had been arrested for allegedly being drunk behind the wheel and subsequently assaulting a police officer. And now, following multiple delays, RingsideNews.com has verified that last month, she entered a “nolo contendere” plea, which means she accepts the punishment without accepting the guilt.
Therefore, the 34-year-old must attend substance abuse treatment and DUI classes, undergo regular drug tests, wear an ankle monitor, and perform 75 hours of community service. Additionally, her driving license has been suspended for six months, and if she fails to follow these requirements, she will face two years in prison.
Frankele made a name for herself on the US indie scene before getting signed by WWE for their NXT brand in 2017 after impressing during a match with Athena, then known as Ember Moon. However, things wouldn’t work out for her in the company, and she was released in 2018. And while she would go on to work for TNA between 2020 and 2022, after months of inactivity and a very public fallout with her then-husband Zachary Wentz of The Rascalz, she announced her retirement from the business, last wrestling in June 2023.
