Just over a year ago, Fuego Del Sol announced on social media that he was departing AEW after his contract hadn’t been renewed. Still, the masked underdog wouldn’t let this get him down, and he has been thriving on the indie circuit, competing all over the country. And now seemingly indicating the door could be open for a potential return, Del Sol would make his ROH debut during the promotion’s latest set of tapings, appearing in a ten-man tag where he teamed with Top Flight, Action Andretti, and Komander.
The 28-year-old Alabama-based luchador managed to build up a cult following in AEW despite 34 consecutive losses, which led to him memorably earning a full-time contract following a Rampage defeat to Miro. However, his career would unfortunately stall after he suffered a badly broken foot, and by the time he was ready to compete again, AEW had discontinued their YouTube shows, which is where he was mainly used.
