Recently, it was revealed that Ax and Smash, collectively known as Demolition, had signed WWE Legends deals, which delighted fans of the iconic tag team. Still, at the time, it wasn’t clear whether Crush, real name Brian Adams, who sadly died in 2007 at the age of just 43, was also included. However, now, while appearing on Paul Roma’s Power & Glory podcast, Crush’s son Royce, who works on the indies, has revealed that WWE tracked him down via Facebook and made sure to get his father included.

“I get a call, this guy tells me, ‘I’m with the WWE we’re trying to reach out to the family, the owners of Crush’s estate’ … He tells me that he looked at the obituary of Crush found out he had kids, me included, and then he looked me up, and he told me he saw me on Facebook and then he was like ‘yeah you were really easy to track down.’ Actually, I was like, really, you know, so anyways, he reached out to me and my mom, and we agreed to sign the posthumous contract, I guess you can call it, and so that’s how my dad’s now part of the whole Legends thing with the rest of the Demolition.”Royce Adams

To some, Demolition was just Vince McMahon’s attempt to recreate the Road Warriors, although they were undoubtedly incredibly over in the 1980s in their own right. In fact, McMahon would try to extend their run into the 1990s by including Adams as Crush to help carry the load with Ax aging and having health problems. Yet, with the genuine Road Warriors joining the company, Ax and Smash were no longer needed, and Crush would become a singles talent.
