Mark Briscoe suffered the devasting loss of his brother and tag partner, Jay, real name Jamin Pugh, in January 2023 due to a horrific car accident. Subsequently, he seriously contemplated retiring from the ring, but thankfully didn’t, and this decision was rewarded by him winning the ROH World Championship.
And now, the much loved pro wrestler has disclosed during an appearance on Speedball Mike Bailey’s YouTube channel that his wife is expecting the ninth Child, having given birth just a year ago to Matthew Jamin Pugh, who was clearly named to honor Jay.
Mark has previously stated that the Briscoes’ wrestling legacy might continue through his children because at least two of his offspring have shown a keen interest in following in their father’s footsteps. Therefore, it appears there could one day be another wrestling family dynasty in the business, and if they have inherited even a fraction of their father and uncle’s talent, they have a very good chance of making it.
