WWE Mainstay Shockingly Let Go By Company

Following the creation of TKO, which saw WWE and UFC effectively merge as businesses, there were many employee exits, most of which were office-based. And while this was always expected, it was obviously sad news for those concerned. However, one departure few ever saw coming was Sue Aitchison, who PWInsider.com has reported was let go on Friday. For those unaware, she was not only WWE’s longest-serving employee but also a winner of the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame Warrior Award.

“The longest running WWE employee still with World Wrestling Entertainment, 2019 WWE Hall of Fame Warrior Award winner Sue Aitchison exited the company yesterday, PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple sources. We are told that Aitchinson was let go.”

Aitchison joined the company in 1986 and, most recently, was WWE’s Director of Community Relations. Arguably, her most significant achievement during her time with the company was establishing a relationship with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which continues to this day. What’s next for Aitchison remains to be seen, but her departure indeed indicates things are changing within WWE.
