What “MFT” Stands For Has Seemingly Been Revealed

Following Tama Tonga’s SmackDown debut, he began being referred to as “MFT,” which fans trying to guess its meaning. Subsequently, WWE filed a trademark application for the term, seemingly indicating it would be part of their new recruits’ ongoing character. And now, based on Tonga’s updated Instagram bio, it appears to stand for “Mother F’n Tonga.

Tonga has an impressive wrestling lineage, with his uncle, who is also his adoptive father, being the legendary Haku. He would, however, embark on his own wrestling journey in 2008, initially by training under the Dudley Boyz before receiving additional coaching via New Japan in 2010. From there, he joined the Japanese promotion full-time, and his career really took off when he became a founding member of the iconic Bullet Club stable.
