Three Wrestlers Including Matt Hardy Return To TNA During Rebellion (w/Video)

TNA loves to bring in unannounced wrestlers, and during last night’s Rebellion pay-per-view, Sami Callihan, Mike Santana, and Matt Hardy all returned to the company. As of writing, none have been officially confirmed as having signed full-time deals, and Hardy specifically noted on X that he remains a free agent. However, the way all three men were present, none came across as one-off appearances.

The first to return was former tag team specialist Santana, who had an impromptu match with Steve Maclin. Later, Callihan would do a run-in during the Jordynne Grace vs. Steph De Lander match. And finally, Hardy would appear at the conclusion of the pay-per-view to give Moose a Twist Of Fate after he’d retained the TNA Championship against Nic Nemeth.

49-year-old Hardy is the most high-profile of all three returning talents, having had multiple runs in WWE and recently being part of AEW. However, he also had two memorable runs in TNA, initially in 2011 and then from 2014 to 2017, where he debuted his popular broken gimmick and twice helped the promotions world championship. Still, while it seems he will be wrestling Moose in the near future, given he hasn’t signed a deal with TNA, he could eventually return to either AEW or WWE.
