The Undertaker Reveals Who He Would Have Liked To Have Wrestled At WrestleMania

There was a time when The Undertaker was synonymous with WrestleMania, having established a winning streak that will likely never be matched, let alone beaten. While he wrestled some of the biggest names in history at the event, such as Triple H, Ric Flair, Brock Lesnar, and Shawn Michaels, there are still many legends he never faced at WWE’s premier annual event. And now, during a Patreon Q&A session, he would tell his subscribers that he would have liked to have worked with Steve Austin, although he did note that “the Streak may have gotten broken earlier.

“It’d have to be Stone Cold. That’s really one of the only guys I didn’t get to work with at Mania. That would have been huge. The Streak may have gotten broken earlier, but still, it would have been nice to work with Steve at Mania … It would probably be, just like anything else, half the people would love it, half the people would hate it. That’s how it is. Everybody has an opinion but that’s the guy that I would have liked to work with at Mania that I never got a chance to.”

The Undertaker

If you include house shows and their time together in the USWA, Austin and The Undertaker wrestled over 150 times. However, arguably their most memorable bout came in 1998 at that year’s SummerSlam when the duo wrestled both as faces in front of a packed MSG crowd. Notably, the event would be the most-bought SummerSlam pay-per-view in the event’s history, with 700,000 buys, and the main event is likely responsible for the vast majority of buys.
