The Possible Reason WWE Just Fired Their EVP Of Talent Has Been Reported

On Friday, it was reported that WWE had made changes to its talent relations department by firing former Las Vegas Raiders President Dan Ventrelle, who had been their EVP Of Talent since joining the company in 2022. At the time of the news breaking, the reason for his departure was unknown. However, Fightful Select has now reported that some in the company blame him for the many talent contracts not being renewed in a timely fashion, seemingly indicating this played a part in the decision.

“Dan Ventrelle, EVP of Talent is out from WWE after a year and a half with a the company. Ventrelle was seemingly not adored by talent on a professional level, as we’ve heard several pointing the finger at him as a reason why many deals have nearly reached expiration.”

It’s currently known Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Natalya, Becky Lynch, and Seth Rollins all have contracts expiring in the coming months, and considering their position on the card, it does seem strange that WWE would allow their deals to run down. And while it’s believed that all of them want to remain with the company, the fact that Tony Khan has proven in the past that he is prepared to offer vast amounts of money to ex-WWE stars to join AEW, it’s very possible some may explore free agency in order to hear his offer.
