Willow Nightingale was an integral part of Mercedes Mone’s debut at AEW in Boston and explains how a previous match with Mercedes in Japan led to events on Dynamite. Willow details that NJPW match she had with Mercedes that ended with Mercedes’ injury and Willow unexpectedly becoming the inaugural New Japan Strong Women’s Champion. Willow also recounts her journey to AEW, how extra work during the pandemic led to her signing, and why she was so emotional seeing her “All Elite” graphic on the big screen during Dynamite! She talks about her recent street fight on Dynamite that included a botched table bump by Anna Jay and a very bloody Ruby Soho, main-eventing Rampage, and her goals for 2024. She also shares stories from her time on the indies, her initial run on ROH, and wrestling in Mexico.
