After his triumphant return to the ring on Monday, WWE star Sheamus reactivated his X account. However, he likely wishes he hadn’t, as after being body-shamed following his Raw match, he is now being heavily criticized for sharing a photo of himself with Gable Steveson, having seemingly trained with him in preparation for his comeback. Subsequently, the former WWE Champion would attempt to hide the negative replies but eventually opted to simply delete the tweet.
For those unaware, in 2019, Steveson and fellow student-athlete Dylan Martinez were arrested for alleged criminal sexual assault on an intoxicated woman. Yet six months later, it was announced that there would be no criminal charges due to there being inadequate evidence. Still, many fans online haven’t forgotten the accusation against the Olympic gold medalist, and therefore, anyone who talks about him positively now faces backlash.
