In November 2023, news broke that Hulk Hogan’s son, Nick, had been arrested in the early hours in Clearwater, Florida. The former reality TV star was apparently on his way home from a bikini contest at his father’s restaurant and was pulled over by police after being clocked doing 51 miles per hour in a 40 miles per hour zone.
He would then be booked under the suspicion of driving under the influence after he refused to take part in a sobriety test. Subsequently, he would plead not guilty, with it reported that he told police officers that the alcohol they smelt on him at the time came from his girlfriend, whom he had just kissed.
However, despite his previous plea, TampaBay.com has confirmed that on Friday afternoon, Nick attended court and changed his plea to guilty. This would see him sentenced to 12 months probation, with him also placed on an alcohol monitoring system for the first 120 days. Additionally, it is understood he will have to pay more than $1,000 in fines.
The arrest of the 33-year-old surprised many fans at the time since, in 2007, he had been involved in a serious car crash where his passenger suffered life-changing injuries, which saw him incarcerated for eight months. Therefore, most assumed he would no longer take risks when driving, yet his arrest was even in the same city where the terrible crash occurred 16 years earlier.
