In unsettling news, Mercedes Moné has disclosed during the latest issue of her newsletter that her younger brother Joshua was rushed to hospital this past Wednesday following a medical emergency. And while the AEW star hasn’t shared specific details, she would note that Tony Khan made his private jet avaliable so she could get from Iowa to Florida as quickly as possible.
“Without hesitation, Tony said he would help. He took me back on his jet headed to Jacksonville and made it a point to stop in Orlando. No lie, I’m actually crying tears of joy and gratitude as I write this. I’m so blessed and grateful to be working at a company like AEW and have a leader whose motto is ‘family first.’”
Mercedes Moné32-year-old Moné signed with AEW back in February, with the promotion subsequently promoting their March 13 episode of Dynamite as “Big Bu$iness” to tease her debut, much in the way they promoted “The First Dance” around CM Punk. From there, the former WWE wrestler would go on to wrestle her first match for the company at Double or Nothing on May 26, defeating Willow Nightingale for the TBS Championship.
