Latest Update On Jack Perry’s AEW Future

AEW suspended Jack Perry almost immediately following his backstage altercation with CM Punk at last year’s All In pay-per-view. And while the recently released footage of the incident seemingly confirms he was only defending himself, the fact he riled up Punk beforehand is likely why he was taken off television. However, with him having returned to pro wrestling via New Japan earlier this year, Dave Meltzer has now reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that he is due back with AEW imminently.

“This was Perry’s final New Japan match and he’s starting imminently in AEW.”

26-year-old Perry is the son of deceased “Beverly Hills, 90210” star Luke Perry, and broke into the business in 2015 via the independent circuit. From there, he would go on to form the popular tag team “A Boy and His Dinosaur” with fellow indie worker Luchasaurus, and together, they would catch the attention of Tony Khan. Subsequently, both were signed for AEW, and although they initially remained together, they were later broken up and pushed as single competitors.
