Ingenious Way WWE Kept Michin’s NXT Return From Being Spoiled Has Been Revealed

SmackDown’s Michin, also known as Mia Yim, returned to NXT television on Tuesday night, surprising fans worldwide. During this unexpected appearance, she made it known to Jaida Parker, Sol Ruca, and Arianna Grace that she wanted to be involved in crowning NXT’s first-ever Women’s North American Champion and is, therefore, likely one of the favorites to win the new championship if she gets through the qualifying. And now Fightful Select has reported that WWE managed to keep her return from leaking online by listing her internally as “Alundra Blayze.”

“Michin was kept a secret and was listed as “Alundra Blayze” internally on NXT rundowns.”

35-year-old Michin broke into the business in 2009, and after working for ROH, CZW, and Shimmer, joined TNA full-time in 2015, eventually becoming their Knockouts Champion. However, she always wanted to work for WWE, and after proving herself in the Mae Young Classic in both 2017 and 2018, she was signed by the company. From there, she would became part of NXT’s roster before making her main roster debut in 2020 as part of Retribution. And while that wouldn’t work out for her, and she was released, almost exactly a year later she would be re-hired and put with The O.C.
