Former WWE Tag Team To Debut For AEW On Collision

Around this time last year, both members of The Dyad requested their WWE releases, although management promptly turned them down. This was because the pair were featured on television as part of Joe Gacy’s Schism faction, and the company had long-term plans for the pair.

Still, both James Drake and Zack Gibson went on to say on X they fully intended to leave and would wait for their contracts to expire, which is precisely what they did. And now it has been announced via a promo on AEW’s social media that following their run in TNA, they are coming for The Acclaimed on this Saturday’s episode of Collision for AEW.

The Grizzled Young Veterans, as they are collectively known again, were the inaugural NXT UK Tag Team Champions, which demonstrated that WWE saw potential in the duo. However, WWE’s strict policy on talent names led to their repackaged and being put in Gacy’s Schism stable, which many fans thought was a a significant downgrade.
