Confirmation Of Paige VanZant’s AEW Status

While a big name in MMA and bare-knuckle boxing, most wrestling fans will know Paige VanZant best for her brief yet memorable run in AEW. However, despite not having wrestled for almost two years, she remains on the promotion’s official roster page. Yet it appears that could soon change, as it has been confirmed on Wrestling Observer Radio that she is no longer with Tony Khan’s company due to changing her mind about being a pro wrestler.

“Even though I know she’s still on the roster. She’s not with AEW anymore, she decided she didn’t want to be a wrestler. If she wanted to be a wrestler she’d still be there.”

30-year-old VanZant initially appeared for AEW in September 2021 alongside American Top Team. The following year, she was set to work with Brandi Rhodes until Cody and Brandi departed the promotion. Instead, she would feud with Tay Conti and make her in-ring wrestling debut at Double or Nothing, teaming with Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page against Conti, Sammy Guevara, and Frankie Kazarian. Still, her commitment to the business was known to be questionable after it was reported that she had begun skipping her training sessions with former WWE star Gangrel.
