Co-Owner of The Restaurant That Kicked Out Ric Flair Has Issued A Statement

On Sunday, Ric Flair caused waves on social media after revealing he had been kicked out of the Gainesville-based Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza restaurant following a dispute regarding how long the kitchen manager was taking in the bathroom. At the time, this seemed very bizarre, and now the establishment’s co-owner, Jerry Roberts, has issued a statement to Gainesville.com saying that upon reviewing the video footage, he is proud of how his staff dealt with the situation.

“We have reviewed video of the incident that took place recently at our restaurant. It is clear, our team worked in a professional manner to ensure the safety of guests and staff. We have thanked our team for their professionalism. We are proud of how they responded to this situation using and displaying our team values.”

75-year-old Flair would post across his social media accounts that he had spent $1500 at the restaurant, which, considering they charge $18.99 for a large pizza and $4.49 for garlic breadsticks, indicates a lot of alcohol must have been flowing that particular evening. However, unless the video footage is ever released, it seems unlikely anyone who wasn’t there that night will honestly know what occurred.
