Buff Bagwell Shares Post-Surgery Update

Back in 2020, Buff Bagwell was involved in a serious car accident with the former WCW crashing his vehicle due to being impaired by prescription medications. The crash would leave with multiple broken bones, tears, and ruptures, and at one point, it appeared he was going to have to have his leg amputated, having to turn to an infectious disease doctor for help.

Yet, while it appears he has healed since then, Bagwell has now shared the news on social media that he had to undergo knee surgery earlier this week, which he thankfully later confirmed had gone well. Whether this surgery was related to his accident or a career in wrestling isn’t known, but it’s excellent news regardless.

“Doctor said surgery went well and I spent the night at the hospital for observation. Thanks to everyone for the well wishes, prayers, and positive thoughts. Appreciate you all!”

Seemingly, the accident in 2020 was a wake-up call for Bagwell, as the following year, he would contact Diamond Dallas Page, who would allow him to move in with him in an attempt to finally conquer the drug and alcohol addictions that have plagued his adult life. And while he did suffer from setbacks, it’s now understood the 54-year-old has turned his life around and has been sober for over 600 days.
